Feet in Focus
Our feet literally carries our entire body weight keeping our posture upright and in balance.
However, we somehow tend to ignore this deliberately .
One of the major reasons is just so that we can accommodate our fixation for shoes.
So today I decided to shift focus onto your feet before you go out on another shoe shopping spree.
Hey there Fabulous…
Feet in focus
There is something oh so magical about women and a pair of stilettos.
It effortlessly adds a hip wiggle to your walk, elongates your legs, tucks in your tummy, highlights a waistline and creates the impression that you just had a butt push up:)))
I must confess, I am one of those that with just the sight of a pretty pair can very easily slide into a robust emotion of excitement causing my heart to race beyond control.
Yes, it is a love story told by many of us.
Sadly, a gorgeous shoe is not always your go to shoe.
So ladies, lets’ try and get the butt boost without putting ourselves through any unnecessary discomfort.
Use the Stretch is Snug rule
Very simple. Whenever possible, look out for shoes with some sort of elastic stretch to it.
Here, the elastic is very cleverly positioned so that it captures the shape of your feet snug, keeping it in place.
This prevents your feet from slipping and sliding when it shrinks on colder days or gets sweaty and swells up in warmer weathers . A great concept to use for those of us who want height without struggle.
Get Measured
Do yourself a favour, get your feet measured. Yes, I am fully aware, we all know our shoe size pretty well. However, the SHAPE of our feet changes as we get older. Remember to measure both of your feet. Usually one feet is a few inches bigger or smaller than the other. Always opt for the size of the bigger one to allow for movement and comfort. Wearing too tight shoes will only leave you with painful blisters and bunions.
Look for Support
You got to pay attention to the INSIDE design of the shoe. Look out for curved, semi circle finishes. These little details provide added support to your muscles making it extra comfortable for long days on your feet.
Backless can be reckless
Ok, so we all love a slip on sandal but it can get really uncomfortable when your toes are protruding past the front, pushed forward untidily and your heels are being grazed from side to side.
When going backless, make sure to get the fit and fabric of the sandal right.
Usually your sandal size would be a bit different from that of your shoe size. This has a lot to do with the cut of the sandal, so make sure to try it on preferably in the afternoon to accommodate your feet swelling.
As for the fabric, stay away from materials that lock in moisture, choose leather or cotton instead.
Stilettos for Style
This is serious. So, We have already understood the miraculous benefits of a sleek pair of stilettos.
However, lets be sensible. It is not practical nor anywhere near elegant doing a long day of grocery shopping in killer heels whilst struggling to keep your feet firmly on the ground.
Well, if you can pull it off then by all means go for it.
I like to plan my day. If it is going to be a busy run around day I stick to comfort or maybe kitten heels if I am in the mood. Otherwise I choose to take any pair over 3 inches and make it a Stilettos style event. It just gets me all excited reserving them for date nights out or special occasions.
Whatever you choose, be sure to keep it Stylish and classy.
