MAC Fix +
This product has been on the market for quite some time now. It is one of my favorite favorites, so versatile, always in my bag due to the whole host of multiple uses it has.
What is it?
It is recommended as a finishing mist that you spritz on once you are done with your makeup to prevent you looking powdery or cakey by giving you a softer less made up look.
How I like to use it?
I found out by a little bit of “clever experimenting” that it has many more added awesome benefits that I think is definitely worth a try!
It can be used as a primer just before your makeup as it has a sort off clinging agent allowing your makeup to smooth on effortlessly with prolong wear. I also enjoy mixing it with my baked eye shadows as well as my loose powder pigments. All you do is dip your brush into your eye shadow and dab onto the back of you hand. Now spritz on a quick shot of the MAC Fix + and blend with your brush. Alternatively you can just spritz some directly onto your brush making sure you damp the brush and not drench it and then dip into your eyeshadow to blend. Whichever method you choose, the result allows the pigments in your powders to pop and become more vibrant before you apply. It also has an added benefit of giving your eye shadow more staying power so that it lasts longer and does not fade off by the end of the day. Another great benefit is that it acts as a hydrator. Use straight after a shower over your face and body for that locked in moisture during the winter months or spritz onto your face during those hot summer days to prevent dehydrated skin.
What I love about it?
It smells lovely and is infused with a variety of natural ingredients which is a big yay for me. Vitamins and minerals like green tea, cucumber and chamomile instantly detoxifies, refreshes and soothes giving you hydrated soft skin and flawless makeup.
It is also super easy to travel with as it has a lock pump option that prevents any leaks. It also has a great spray action that comes out in a perfect even mist, so no ripples of liquid falling all over the place.
